NEW YORK CITY, NY – Police in New York City are trying to identify a male suspect wanted for shoving a 52-year-old woman onto the tracks of a Bronx subway station this week.

The incident reportedly occurred on June 5th at approximately 4:40 p.m. at the subway station located off of Westchester and Jackson Avenue. Video shows the victim walking when a male suspect adorned in a white tank top, cargo shorts, a backwards ballcap, and wearing a red backpack grabs her from behind and throws her down onto the subway tracks.

After the seemingly unprovoked attack, the suspect then walks off as the victim laid helpless on the subway tracks. An MTA spokesperson confirmed that bystanders came to the woman’s aid, helping her to get back onto the platform. Luckily, no train was approaching at the time of the attack.

The victim was later transported over to Lincoln Hospital in stable condition, with her having suffered lacerations to her head and arm as a result of the incident.

The NYPD are working to identify the at-large suspect and are asking for the public to come forward with any information that may help in either identifying or locating the suspect.

Red Voice Media has previously reported on the dangerous nature associated with New York City subways, having detailed an incident that occurred in late-May involving a woman who was the victim of an unprovoked attack while on the subway – with bystanders ignoring the woman’s pleas for help as she was assault by the at-large assailant.

On May 25th, the victim was traveling aboard a subway in New York City when an individual, who appeared to be a woman, began to unintelligibly shout expletives while strutting up and down the subway car. When the crazed individual decided to take a seat next to the victim, the suspect grabbed a fistful of the victim’s hair and forced her to remain seated when the victim tried to distance herself from the crazed suspect.

The victim began to mouth silent pleas for help, looking directly at a man who was filming the entire episode. Yet, everyone on the train seemed to act as though there wasn’t a woman being assaulted directly in front of them.

After roughly 30-45 seconds of being held against her will in the seat, attacker then stands up – with the victim’s hair still balled up in their fist – and orders her, “Get up.” The suspect then guides the victim to the rear of the subway car, shoves her into some bystanders, and begins to strut up and down the subway car some more, randomly yelling, “Shut the fuck up.”

At this point, one bystander did come to the victim’s aid, asking whether she knew the deranged attacker. While this was ongoing, the unhinged individual began trying to kick out a window on the subway car.

Police have yet to identify the attacker in the incident.
