Secret Grand Jury Indicts Nearly A Dozen ANTIFA Extremists For Violent Attacks In California

SAN DIEGO, CA – According to a report from The Post Millennial, a secret grand jury out of San Diego produced indictments for 11 alleged members of Antifa who are accused of being part of various sects of the extremist outfit who were responsible for planning and carrying out violent attacks throughout southern California in 2021.

On June 7th, 10 of the 11 defendants appeared before Judge Michael Groch, where a 29-count felony indictment was read off regarding violence allegedly committed by the group at Pacific Beach on January 9th of 2021. The only suspect to not appear during the June 7th hearing was identified as Joseph Austin Gaskins, which he’s expected to appear in court on June 20th.

This secret grand jury had reportedly convened and heard testimony from witnesses and victims for 13 days prior to the indictments being announced by the San Diego County District Attorney’s Office.

In previous court filings, San Diego County prosecutor William Hopkins asserted that Antifa-affiliated individuals had been threatening witnesses and victims associated with the case – which likely explains the employment of a secret grand jury.

The suspects named in the indictments are as follows:

  • 31-year-old Alexander Akridge-Jacobs
  • 32-year-old Jesse Merel Cannon
  • 21-year-old Joseph Austin Gaskins
  • 25-year-old Brian Cortez Lightfoot Jr.
  • 23-year-old Christian Martinez
  • 30-year-old Luis Francisco Mora
  • 24-year-old Samuel Howard Ogden
  • 20-year-old Bryan Rivera
  • 27-year-old Faraz Martin Talab
  • 39-year-old Jeremy Jonathan White
  • 38-year-old Erich Louis Yach

The witness intimidation is believed to have been accomplished via a woman by the name of Leah Rose Madbak, an investigator for the San Diego Public Defender Office who is romantically involved with one of the defendants in the case, Jesse Cannon.

One of the prosecutors working the Antifa case had successfully petitioned the court to restrict the defendants from having access to discovery after it was learned that Cannon may have received privileged information from Madbak that was used to intimidate said witnesses.

Among the 29-count indictment was a conspiracy to riot, which marks as the first instance any alleged members of Antifa were ever hit with such a charge in the United States. Per the grandy jury indictment, the alleged Antifa members had planned to carry out a violent instance of “direct action” aimed directly at Trump supporters who had announced their intention to peacefully demonstrate and gather at Pacific Beach in January of 2021.

“The defendants are all affiliated with Antifa. A group of the defendants originated from the Los Angeles area and the remaining defendants are from San Diego County. Antifa uses force, fear, and violence to further their interests and suppress the interests of others. The objective of this conspiracy was to incite and participate in a riot.”

While most of the defendants were reportedly quiet during their initial appearance on June 7th, with all of those in attendance pleading not guilty, biological male Erich Louis Yach apparently became incensed when Judge Groch referred to him as “Mr. Yach,” lashing out at the judge with, “Mrs! I am transgender!”

Numerous acts of violence were laid out in the charging documents, accusing the group of miscreants of attacking a woman with a wooden chair, hitting a victim with a baseball bat, attacking a victim with a skateboard, using pepper spray on multiple victims, and also using a stun gun as well.

The next court date for the defendants is slated for August 8th.
